ETL / Data Warehouse Tester

This is a vendor requirement UpWia is sourcing candidates for, not an in-house UpWia role. Client and engagement specifics are shared directly with matched candidates during the process; only the role requirements are listed here.

A data validation role testing ETL/ELT pipelines across a Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture for healthcare-domain data. H-1B and H4 EAD candidates are welcome to apply.

• Validate ETL/ELT data pipelines across Bronze (raw), Silver (cleansed), and Gold (curated) layers
• Perform source-to-target mapping verification and data quality checks on healthcare-domain datasets
• Write SQL queries and Python scripts for automated data reconciliation and testing
• Collaborate with data engineers on test plan creation and defect triage
• Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) as part of day-to-day testing work

• 11+ years of experience in data/ETL testing
• Strong SQL proficiency across modern platforms (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)
• Python scripting for data validation and test automation
• Healthcare domain or Medicaid/MMIS data migration experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
