Description

A senior backend engineer role building and supporting production services for a large-scale enterprise application, with a mix of new feature work and hands-on production support.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support backend services for a production enterprise application
  • Build secure REST/SOAP APIs and integrations across mobile, .NET, and legacy enterprise systems
  • Develop workflow automation and event-driven processing
  • Troubleshoot complex production defects and perform root-cause analysis
  • Provide occasional evening or weekend support when required

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on backend software engineering and enterprise application development experience
  • Strong expertise in C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with serverless/container technologies (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, Kubernetes, ECS, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and secrets management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event-driven/workflow tooling (Kafka, Step Functions, Temporal, or similar)
  • Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL and ETL/ELT data work
  • Familiarity with distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring tooling
